The five days Family Therapy workshop (LEVEL 1) in Malayalam, aims at equipping the participants to be effective family therapists. Workshop systematically covers the core concepts, major theories and various skills and techniques of family therapy. Participants will learn how to use these learning in their actual counseling sessions as well as apply these in their own very families and communities. The method of training consists of lectures, case discussions, and role-plays. Apart from psychologists, counselors and social workers, the course is also designed to be of great help for formators, pastors, teachers and all those who are involved in family ministry.

Workshop provides knowledge, skills and techniques to the participants to help married couples achieve their life purpose and dreams. Participants will learn to manage couple conflicts compassionately and deepen their intimacy. Participants will learn to identify and learn how to solve the problems that are solvable and learn how to understand and manage the problems that are not solvable. Apart from psychologists, counselors and social workers, the course is also designed to be of great help for pastors, teachers, those involved in family ministry and for the married couple who wish to enrich their relationships.

This is a professional training programme for women religious who are in the position of leadership in different settings like, community, school, social work, hospital, parish, administration and so on. Those who would be in a position of leadership sooner or later can also participate in the workshop. Workshop aims to help the participants learn how to lead effectively like Jesus. They learn effective team process and practices, task maintenance and team maintenance, lifecycle of team and how to face and deal with the issues of each stage. Team leaders learn how to use the skills and preferences of their team members to fulfill different functions, how to prepare team norms, team charter, conducting effective meetings, and make effective decision.

The character formation workshop aims at helping teachers grow personally and professionally to be good role models for the children to look up to and learn from. Teachers learn that academics and character formation need to go hand in hand in the classroom. Character formation is a shared journey between the teachers and students. However, teachers do have a greater role in it as James Baldwin says; “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” The workshop consists of lectures, group activities, case discussions, and role-plays.
